2019 Nominees

Slavko Mihic

I nominate Constable Slavko Mihic because he changed my life. I first met Slavko when I was a Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI) student with the Hamilton Police Service in the summer of 2017. When we met, we talked a lot and he actually wanted to give me advice and tips for school and/or making my dream of becoming an officer a reality. He even went as far as to keeping in touch with me just to check in. I’m proud to say that I can truly call this officer my friend. I appreciate him going above and beyond and no one deserves this award more than Constable Mihic.

Ryan Rodrigues

Andrea Lamothe

Andrea goes above and beyond in her duties at OPS., from organizing the children's picnic every year to just helping you out with anything that you might need help with. She is a great asset to the OPS; friendly, caring and always their for you.

Mark Oberhauser

I would like to nominate Mark Oberhauser for his commitment to the community and for his work as a Peel Regional Police Officer. Mark sustained a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) during the line of work. This is a life changing disability yet he has worked very hard to return to his career as a Police Officer. Mark is a role model for all that he has gone through and for the work he continues to engage in. Most TBI survivors find it extremely difficult to resume the work they did prior to their injury. Mark has achieved this goal and will continue to act as an inspirational representative for the Peel Regional Police.
