I'd like to nominate my unofficial adopted baby brother and friend. Shannon Parks of the Brantford Police Service goes above and beyond. Not only for his team players, but for his friends and people on the streets. He is a proud officer and extremely dedicated, putting in numerous overtime hours especially in times of crisis. 

He has also won many awards for protecting his community of Brantford. Shannon has saved many lives throughout his policing career. When I had a falling out with my family after my parents passed, and felt like I had no one to turn to, Shannon showed up. He and his family have not only helped me, but we have all adopted each other. I am proud to call him my baby brother.
