I got to meet Matt when he was assigned to be a member of the Santa Claus Parade Committee as the liason for Cornwall Police Services. Over the years I have seen the passion Matt has when dealing with children. He jumps in whenever he can and creates fun for everyone involved. 

As Chair of the Santa Claus Parade Committee, I require Matt's assistance often and he always comes through. His love for the community is very obvious as is his passion for the job. There is nothing as refreshing as watching Matt playing street hockey in our tournament that is part of the parade festivities. The kids love him and he has a lot of fun with them. I am proud to consider Matt a friend and I highly recommend him as a Police Services Hero. He has certainly earned it.
