Jennifer Piasecka

Jen is a 911 dispatcher. In November 2018, a young male called 911; he had no idea where he was except to say he was in thick brush and stuck. A ping was done on the phone giving a general direction of this male's location. The officer made sure she was logged into her mobile phone and from her GPS and the male's GPS, Jen continued to update the officer. From the report it reads...

“While searching the trail, I received numerous location updates relative to the phone pings. Once we established my location within fifty metres of the male, dispatch directed me through heavy brush toward him. The male was located within fifteen feet of my location laying on his back with his head resting on a tree branch. His skin was pale and lips slightly blue. His clothing was heavily soaked with blood. He had a blood soaked towel on the ground. He had a t-shirt on and his arms covered in blood...” In my opinion, it was the help of Jen using the technology in the 911 centre that most likely saved this male from further serious trauma. Jen keeps up-to-date on the constantly changing technology and is always willing to jump in and help at anytime.
