Amy Finn (4)

I'm nominating Amy, as I believe she has done Chatham-Kent wonders in her time. Being a single mother and working hard, then also helping out in the community as often as she does, it just is truly incredible. This woman is an inspiration in so many ways! You've left your mark here and it'll never be forgotten. You're an amazing human being! I wish you all the best in the years to come.

Keira Brooks (3)

Constable Brooks is an asset to our school community. Admin, staff and students depend on her to assist us, whatever the task may be. As a member of the special needs department, she is always so kind and personable with our kids, knows everyone's names and takes an interest in what they are excited about. We would be lost without her in our school!

Timmins 9-1-1 Dispatchers

I worked with the Timmins 9-1-1 Dispatchers for 32 years. I am now retired, but they all work hard every day dispatching police, fire and ambulance to all emergency calls in Timmins and area. Best bunch of people your heart ever wants to meet.

Doug Fry

My husband has served as a police officer valiantly for over 40 years and won't give up serving the people in our community. He is well respected by his peers, is president of their Association and has represented his fellow workers through thick and thin for many years. He continues to serve as a front line supervisor.

Liban Farah

Cst. Liban Farah joined the Ottawa Police Service with an intention of making his community a safer place and on December 8, 2017, he did just that. Cst. Farah was patrolling downtown Ottawa when he heard a radio call for service in response to a shooting that had occurred at King Edward Ave at Rideau St in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

Tina Pippy (3)

Tina Pippy deserves to be the police hero because she saved a little girl's life. She's kind and caring. See more on this story here: https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/8-year-old-girl-thanks-ottawa-cop-who-stepped-in-when-she-was-choking-1.3342936 Photo credit: CTV News Ottawa

Ian Jarvis (4)

I nominate Ian Jarvis - he won the heart and trust of my 4 year old granddaughter, which is very hard to do because of her situation. She does not have a lot trust in people, and we were very doubtful that she would even talk or stay with him by herself, but he made her very comfortable.

Alan Diemert (4)

Al is a hero to my family. He has been there since we were told our son was murdered. He wears a homicide survivor ribbon to remember our son. My daughters brother. My first born. As an officer he doesn't have to respond to our every query....but he does. Al and the Waterloo homicide police force go above and beyond for my family. Thank you.
