Kimberly Cadarette (6)

Kimberly helped my family and I to raise money for the purchase of my sister's prosthetic leg and bandaging. She helped us raise over $8,000 out of the goodness of her heart after overhearing a conversation I was having with the principal of the school I was at.

Jennifer Camden (8)

I nominate Jennifer Camden as she is a dedicated dispatcher who gives her all at work to ensure the safety of our community. Jen also trains many officers every year. She is an extremely caring and responsible individual who enjoys working with her team. As a wife and mom of three children, she does it all! Jen loves her job and takes great pride in serving the Niagara area!

David Christie

I would like to nominate David Christie for the Community Role Model Award. David has been an Ottawa Police Officer since 1990. David is a Seargent in the Arson Unit. I want to tell everyone David is my hero and HERO to 49 other Special Hockey Hero’s in Ottawa. We all have a disability but no limitations without David. Every Saturday David comes out on ice to coach my team and sometimes he is there for 3 hours, volunteering his time. He has influenced so many lives by coaching hockey for individuals who otherwise would not have a chance to flourish. Go Hockey Hero’s Go!!!!!

Mike Anderson

In 2015, Mike Anderson took over the Peel Regional Police Master Trainer position for the Canine Unit. Since Mike has taken over the unit he has implemented some of the most influential training programs. Most recently, one of his handler teams he trained from start to finish, located a young boy who was badly injured, as a result of a tragic incident. This boy would have died within minutes if he wasn’t located. Please see article below where one of his handlers were awarded the “Life Saving Award”.

Jason Moore

He handled my daughters case when she was a victim of rape. I can never express how grateful I am for how involved and kind and caring he was. I truly felt like he cared about my daughters well being just as much as he did about catching the suspect.

Mary Bonenfant

My wife Mary is a North Bay Police Service dispatcher that is always dedicated and always going the extra mile to help. She helping out with the Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) program and crisis intervention by doing everything she can to help her coworkers deal with PTSD and work related stress. I believe she is very deserving of this award.

James Giovannetti

I nominate James Giovannetti with the Orangeville Police. I met him once about 13 years ago doing a co-op and run into him every now and then. Anyone I have met who has required his help has been very happy with him. He has even helped some family/friends in tough times. He doesn't just do his job until its time to clock out, but takes the time to check in to see how people are doing. True blue hero.

He went above and beyond his call of duty to ensure they weren’t scared of what was happening while paramedics attempted live saving measures and stayed until I was able to arrive.

Shannon Parks (2)

I nominate my son, Brantford Police officer Shannon Parks. For as long as I can remember, Shannon wanted to be a officer. He loves his job helping others, but of course, as his mother I always worry when he leaves for work. Though it is a fulfilling job, it can also be a dangerous one. I think all officers should receive a award for their outstanding work, thank you.
