Phillip is a hero in our community he is a wonderful officer. Our local people love his kind smile and his professional manner. Phillip was called to a domestic in the summer where he tried to save a life. In the process he was injured very bad. He risked his own life to save another person. My name is John Klager and I am an Auxiliary Constable with WRPS. I have been the Event Chair for Waterloo Region's Cops for Cancer for the last several years. Each year we have a group of incredible Officers who come out to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. This past September we had an Officer who stood out in the crowd. Cst. Natalie Green began her career as a dispatcher in Sarnia and in August 2009 was hired by the WRPS and has been doing frontline policing since then at South Division.

Phil went into a house, knowing it was going to be blown up to attempt to save a woman. Phil got horribly burned, fought for his life in the hospital for several months. Phil still has a long road ahead of him and has a great attitude towards life and people. 

I was having problems with threats of violence against my property. I contacted officer Sweet for information on what I should do to rectify my problem and not only did he offer to meet me in person to discuss the lawful options as well as file a report; he later contacted me to follow up on the situation to make sure I was safe and sound but also that I was happy with the options I had. - resident of Windsor 

I would like to nominate sherry Cameron for outstanding service to the youth of the Cornwall Community. Sherry is a constant presence in the life of our 15 year old foster daughter. Despite constant run ins with the law, sherry is patient and understanding with the youth that she deals with. These kids trust Sherry, and sometimes (likely often) only Sherry, to always have their back, to help to keep them safe, and to do what is in their best interest. - Elizabeth Quenville

I am nominating PC Sandasha Bough (@SandashaLPS) not only is she an amazing human being but she is an exemplary officer who was a school resource officer up until recently and who speareheaded social media and brought bullying and cyberbullying to the forefront of her schools. Constable Ken Steeves is an amazing officer, he used to participate every year he could in our fundraising opportunities fundraising the money to send kids to camp.
