I would like to nominate A/Sgt. Lila Shibley of the Ottawa Police Service. I have had the pleasure of working along side Lila for many years on many different initiatives. Lila is a true role model! In 2019, she led a team of OPS members and formed the Community Engagement Team, CET. Their main focus was to promote their current relationships with diverse communities and work to enhance those relationships and build new ones. 

Lila is a trail blazer! She is the first female Muslim Ottawa Police officer. Her dedication to relationship building and community engagement is second to none. She is an inclusion champion and I cannot think of anyone more deserving then her.
