Kristine Herfst

I have watched Kristine over the years give tirelessly to her job and the community as a whole. Her endless energy and big heart are inspiring. At work, she is support to the front-line members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service, but in the background she has made positive differences in the community as a board member for Victim Services and a repeat member of successful committees like the Polar Plunge, Shop with a Cop, Food Drives, Toy Drives, First Responders Easter Eggstavaganza's, the Halloween Haunt and fund raising events for the Chatham-Kent Woman's Centre.

Proudly and generously, Kristine continues to give back to the community she serves, representing the force she works for. Outside of work, Kristine also gives selflessly as a longtime Wish Coordinator and Granter for Make-a-Wish (Children's Wish Foundation) helping terminally ill and disabled children achieve their dreams. She also operates her own small candy and baking business (Sugar Mammas), which she has donated generously from to support good causes including local hockey, breast cancer research and the United Way. People like Kristine are few and far between, which lets you know there are still people with great big hearts in this world.
