I would like to nominate my father, Sargent Joseph Amato-Gauci because he is a well respected police officer in York & he is the best dad anyone can ask for. My dad has always looked out for myself and my two siblings & even though work life might have hit him hard some days, he was always (and still is) there for use when we need him the most.

Even though my dad might have been too tired, he would always take me to my hockey practices and games because I know he got a joy from watching me play.

Joe is not only a committed police officer, but he is also a committed dad, husband and brother and son to his family. Although he might have a dry sense of humour, he always finds a way to make me smile even if I didn't think his joke or jab was that funny.

Although there are many submissions, I think my dad should be nominated because he is a loyal, kind, loving and understanding man who deserves to be recognized for his accomplishments not only as a police officer, but as a father as well.
