I am so happy to nominate Jeff McGregor for the Police Service Hero award. I met Jeff in August 2015 after being terribly victimized in some tragic events. Jeff has investigated this case for the past 2 1/2 years so I could get the justice and closure I deserve. Jeff is truly dedicated to his job of protecting people and I am honoured to have had his help the past few years.

Jeff showed me that he truly cares about everything I have to say, whether it's about school, things going on in my life or just being a shoulder to cry on. He helped me turn my life into something so much bigger than what it was, which has been a major part to my healing process, and I know I can always count on him for support.

I don't just look at Jeff as a police officer, but as a friend. Not only is Jeff my Police Service Hero, but he is in general, my Hero. Jeff saved my life and I will forever be thankful for all he has done for me. Jeff has inspired me to go back to school and get a post-secondary education in hopes that maybe someday I could be as good of a police officer as he is.
