I nominate Derek Boyce as my police hero. Derek has spent the past several years in the special victims unit and has had to deal with some of the worst possible criminals and situations that anyone could possibly imagine. He does so with the utmost of caring and concern for the victims. 

He then comes home to his beautiful family and friends and is one of the funniest guys and just a genuinely good human being. You would never know that he spent his day facing the worst that man kind has to offer. He is a true and shining example of a police hero really is.
