I would like to nominate Constable Brian Mitchell of the York Regional Police. Brian is the type of officer that all should strive to be - hard working, dedicated and always putting others first...Brian sets a good example for all.

Being an openly gay officer Brian has had his share of struggles, but he has never let that impede on his duties and responsibilities. Brian has brought light to the LGBTQ community within the services and has assisted in other officers coming forward with pride and confidence in who they are.

Brian has made every service within Ontario better because of his work on building awareness and strengthening his fellow members to be proud of who they are. I nominate Cst. Mitchell for his dedication and commitment, not only as a Constable but as a human being.
